Mount Carmel Hospital

Cornerstone is currently engaged by FMS to provide continuous Structural Consultancy for the hospital’s ongoing upgrade works. Parts of Mount Carmel Hospital have been scheduled for an infrastructural upgrade, and are undergoing refurbishment as part of a five-year plan for the modernisation of the complex.

Our remit includes:

• Assessing the existing building and establishing the structural soundness of the structural elements;
• Carrying out investigative structural surveys and investigative structural testing as required of the existing structure;
• Provision of detailed reports in the form of structural investigative surveys of the existing building;
• Preparation of structural calculations related to civil works ranging from minor building modifications to major projects;
• Advice on structural alteration and strengthening works;
• Preparation of technical project documentations, including material and work specifications, and costing proposals;
